Plant pot Canadian woods 05 - studio katipeifer

This plant pot and bowl are part of the series CANADIAN WOODS. They are wheel thrown ceramic products that were decorated with illustrations inspired by the forests of Canada. While travelling through Canada in autumn 2018 I explored the East Side of the country and got to see the Indian Summer in all its beautiful colours and the density of the lovely forests.

CANADIAN WOODS was a first attempt to try illustrations on clay with the engraving technique. The finish is a blue glaze resembling the water that makes this unique landscape possible.
