Wedding card J&M | custom invitation

The wedding card J&M is a custom made invitation for the wedding of the couple Jolanda and Muhsin. Key elements for the design of their wedding stationary were their backgrounds. Jolanda is from the Netherlands and Muhsin was born in Taiwan. Both met in Mongolia and it was important to them to reflect this in their card as well. I came up with the idea to use the national flower of each country and use these floral and cheerful pieces to illustrate the card with them.

On the front of the card you find a ring of these flowers that symbolize mother earth at the same time. In the centre we added their names with a handwritten font. After opening the card you are welcomed by bouquet of the same flowers, just more in detail and from close-by. Since the wedding was an event that was celebrated at two places over a period of a couple of weeks we decided to make the card trilingual and showcase the different invitations all together. This way also the card showed the unique wedding journey and combined it all. On the left hand side the visitors of the first venue were informed in Dutch and English. On the right hand side the second venue in Taiwan was announced in Chinese and English. The bouquet works here not just as a beautiful decorative element but at the same time it symbolizes the globe that was part of their whole wedding adventure.
